Emerging Market growth continued to drive Ceragon in its above consensus numbers

8% profit on Qiagen earnings trade, swing traded into Milicomm International (MICC), with many of the emerging market telecom stocks showing the beginning sings of reversing including VIP, MBT.

Sold ITT Education (ESI) around psychological resistance at $100, before the stock fell 10.8%, and doubled position in EMC.

Never-dissapointing Woodward Governor rises 18% post earnings on the beat and raise.

EMC rises 12% on earnings (although still a loss position)

ITT should do well today with its beat and raise.

  • MON
    Monsanto Company
  • $75.48

  • $80.01

Monsanto did heat up a bit too much with the ag boom, I think the stock will start to consolidate around this $110- #115 level, and start to move higher.

  • CRNT
    Ceragon Networks

  • $6.13

Ceragon is an underlooked telco-equipment company with booming emerging market growth and a balance sheet that's half-way decent (a rarity in this sector)

  • $27.09

Bullish options activity at the $35 strike. There has been a wave of consolidation in generics, with Teva-Barr Pharmaceuticals and Teva-Bentley Pharmaceuticals. Watson with its much better balance sheet than rival Mylan is the most likely candidate to be taken over next.

    Woodward Governor
  • $28.30
  • -4.97%
  • $29.14

This position is now up +50%. Plays into many favorable trends that are in the beginning stages of a long growth cycle (emission and energy control devises for jet engine, wind power, clean diesel) Increased position: 27.57 before earnings Decreased position by 1/3: post earnings (Q1) after a 25% gain in a week at $34.66

New technically driven position and I see this stock as the cheapest large cap tech in the market, institutional investors will start buying up as the market rebounds (tech is being bought as a safe haven) Doubled Position: 14.02 Basis: 15.315

    Corning Inc

transparency, improvement in communications market and strong demand in LCD's. Doubled position: 20.41 There is not much downside from here, with long term support at $20. Conservative guidance did not give the company a jolt, nor did dissapointing results from LG Displays. However, the economic backdrop is improving with lower gas prices, and pundits already talking up a second government stimulus package. Add to that the transition to HD TV, and I think Corning will continue to boost display sales. I.e favorable risk reward

  • MICC
    Millicom Intl Cel
  • $58.45
  • -7.50%
  • $58.63

I think this is a great entry point for Millicom. Looking at the chart the stock has moved substantially from a rounded bottom in the $75-80 range and confirmed the bottom. Also the other emerging market telecom stocks are starting to move off their lows (VIP, MBT), further making this trade compelling. As a long term play, both NIHD (held in other account) and MICC are spending a lot on capex, and are upgrading their networks to 3G in country's with upward growth prospects in ARPU (average revenue per user). Basis: $82.62
