Ford Preferred TOPS...I have to love a stock with a redemption value of $50 if it gets called, currently pays almost a 10% annual dividend at its current value of about $34/share....finally, I'll take the contrarian road and bet on Ford in general.

Verizon is one of the Dow Dogs and solid communications player in the United States...I'll take the dividend along with the presumed performance you would expect from a Dow Dog.

China Telecom....Exposure to China's growing telecom industry.

Its gone nowhere for the last several years despite solid earnings improvements Y/Y. I think its poised for a modest move up despite its existing huge market cap.

Another Dow Dog, but a relatively solid drug company with a decent dividend that is currently out of favor because of recent bad news on their pipeline

Picked this one up off of waivers. New CEO appears to be making progress in turning the ship back into the right path

A relatively low risk approach to getting in on the venture capital market
