This fund has a Morningstar rating of 2 stars and is run by Thomas Linkas. Linkas is chief inevestment officer of Batterymarch Financial Management which he joined in 1990 to direct the firm's US equity strategy. In 1994, he was also responsible for the developed markets of the EAFE universe. Prior to Batterymarch, he worked as a senior technology analyst for L.F. Rothchild & Co., with similar responsibilities at Goldman, Sachs & Co. He also managed three equity funds for Putnam Management Company. Linkas holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Legg Mason Partner Financial Services Fund is an open-end fund incorporated in the USA. The Fund's objective is long-term capital appreciation. The Fund invests at least 80% of the value of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in securities of companies principally engaged in providing financial services to consumers and industries.
