Human Blood needs to be tested for 16 antagens..if you give blood to someone that doesn't have the antagen their body has to build antibodies for it ..which if the person is very sick is not a good idea..so the trick is to try and match as close as possible for transfusions. Right now there is 3 companies in the sector...about 10 years ago there were 20 or more. BLUD is the only one that is automated and can run about 10 times the test in the same period..which is good for big hospitals, blood centers, labs...they are a Razor Razor Blade Company. The Galialo is their big machine..and when they sell one The company takes the Cost at that point...guess what...cap x cuts of hospitals..they are leasing them instead so next qtr should show a decrease in that cost.
