This mutual fund has a Morningstar rating of 5 stars and is run by John Keeley. Keeley has been president of Keeley Investment Corporation since 1976 and president of Keeley Asset Management Corporation since 1982. Previously, he was director of research and chief financial officer of Seward Securities Corporation, senior vice president and supervisory analyst with James Capel, and vice president with the Chicago Corporation. Keeley holds the Chartered Financial Anlayst designation. Keeley Small Cap Value Fund, Inc. is an open-end fund incorporated in the USA. The Fund's objective is capital appreciation. The Fund invests at least 80% of its total assets in equity securities of companies with small market capitalization. Each stock is judged on its potential for above-average capital appreciation, using a value approach.
The fund has ranked in the top 12% of all funds in its category of small blend funds for the last five years.
