EAR
Hearusa Inc - $1.52
- -1.30%
- $1.50
Riding the jockey on this one. The founder of this company was also the founder of successful Quest Diagnostics. The company is rapidly consolidating the hearing aid industry via acquisitions and organic growth. Admittedly this is a challenging goal and ultimate success will be highly influenced by government regulations especially the passing of favorable legislation covering hearing aid expense. But the growing demographic (read baby boomers) and the growing trend toward early hearing loss due to wide adoption of mp3 players and other digital devices bodes well for EAR. They seem to take the smart approach towards earnings accretive acquisition selections. The is a speculative pick but I'm convinced given the trends, growth approach and the successful history of the jockey make it one to keep on the radar screen. For now I'm using this primarily as a trading vehicle and slowly building a core position.
