URI
United Rentals In - $9.23
- +0.11%
- $9.35
Bought URI at $18.933 on December 26, 2007. URI closed at $19.05 at the close on December 26, up $0.35. My stop loss is $17.50, which I plan to increase, possibly to 18, depending on the opening action. URI had generated a bullish kicker signal the day before I bought. This is a strong bullish signal, typically based on news surprises. In this case, URI was seeking to recover $138 million from Cerberus Capital as compensation for a promised takeover by Cerberus that did not occur. December 28, 2007 - Raised stop loss to 18.20 December 31, 2007 - Stopped out at 18.20. Based on purchase (December 26, 2007 @18.93), loss of 4%.
