Previously, he was a pension equity asset manager with Hartford Insurance Group from 1976 to 1985. Schmidt holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. John Hancock Financial Industries Fund is an open-end fund incorporated in the USA. The Fund's objective is capital appreciation. The Fund normally invests at least 80% of its assets in stocks of U.S. and foreign financial services companies of any size. These companies include banks, thrifts, finance companies, brokerage and advisory firms, and real estate firms.
