Larry Robbins is the head of Glenview Capital Management. The fund has more than $7 billion in assets under management between the Glenview Funds, which is a long short fund, and the Little Arbor Funds which is a multi-strategy fund.
According to Trader Monthly Magazine, in 2005 Glenview returned more than 15% to its investors, earning Robbins himself a fat fee and making him one of the top paid managers on wall street. The Magazine goes on to say that Rollins makes his returns making concentrated bets on large cap stocks.
Robbins has been known to take a more activist approach to some of his large bets, voicing concerns about what management is doing and publicly demanding change.
