Fresnel is a "model portfolio" that I manage for growth oriented clients of K&A Asset Management, LLC in Napa, CA. Goal is to beat the S&P 500 over rolling three year periods, with lower volatility.

SWHC
Smith & Wesson Ho - $4.94
- +5.11%
- $4.71
Company in the midst of a turnaround, led by an excellent management team, that should take the stock to $18 by the end of 2007 and $21-$22 by end of 2008.

-
AA
Alcoa Inc - $12.52
- -1.11%
- $12.73
AA is a formerly underperforming company that is now being run better, and in the sweet spot of international growth in demand for alluminum products. They are a leader in tecnologies related to aerospace; highly diversified within theirspace, and a very likely private equity take out target. My original price target was $40 by end of year. We are almost there.

-
AAPL
Apple Inc. - $199.91
- -0.34%
- $200.91
Find me a reason I shouldn't own it.

-
FSLR
First Solar - $119.11
- 0.00%
- $N/A
Frankly got lucky on this one. I bought a basket of solar energy companies a while back because solar is clearly going to be among the winners in "alternative fuels", as opposed to ethanol, which will not be. Then Cramer jumped on this bandwagon and the rest is history. Stock is currently overvalued by the ride probably isn't over.

-
CE
Celanese Corporat - $29.76
- 0.00%
- $N/A
Speciality chemical company that has unique products and outstanding management. I have more than doubled my money on this winner, but it is still cheap and probalby has a long way to go.

-
COP
Conocophillips - $51.77
- -0.29%
- $51.77
I bought COP and a basket of oil and gas related stocks well before oil started to make the big run from around $28 per barrell to current prices. Long term research and understanding of the markets led to the decision to overweight oil. This one is currently stalled out, but run better than many of the other oil "majors". It will continue to work its way upward over the next few years. Oil prices are not going to collapse.

-
DVN
Devon Energy Cp ( - $67.35
- -0.19%
- $66.97
Bought DVN at the same time as COP. DVN is a winner and one of the few North American oil and gas companies adding large new reserves through drilling. I believe it will be acquired by one of the "majors".

-
AOB
American Orientl - $4.01
- 0.00%
- $N/A
Chinese company, listed on the NYSE, in the businesses of plant-based pharmaceutical (PBP) and plant-based nutraceutical (PBN) products. This stock has "high risk" in that this business is very fragmented in China and there is lots of competition. But they seem to be very welll run, growing methodically, strong balance sheet with the cash to acquire competitors, great margins and ROE. Their products would not be well understood in the West, but they are in China, and are in demand. Long term growth story.
