This fund has a Morningstar rating of three stars and is run by Bruce Baughman. Baughman is senior vice president of advisory services. He has been a manager of the fund since 1987. Baughman joined Franklin Templeton Investments in 1987. He began his financial career as a certified public accountant in 1978. Baughman holds the Certified Public Accountants designation. Franklin Balance Sheet Investment Fund is an open-end fund incorporated in the USA. The Fund's objective is high total return of which capital appreciation and income are components. The Fund invests in equity securities of companies the Fund manager believes are undervalued at the time of purchase. The manager conducts an in-depth analysis of a company's balance sheet.
The fund had an average annual return of 1.76% over the last five years, outperforming other funds in its category and the S&P 500.
