For the third year in a row our unique piggyback stock-picking method--based on finding and buying the 10 stocks held most widely by the world's best mutual fund managers--has beaten the S&P 500. We want to find the stocks that are most commonly favored by the select group of money managers (in the large-cap, midcap and international arenas) who have been in their jobs for more than a decade and have roundly beaten their peers. That is, they've done better than average over 10-year, five-year, three-year and one-year periods. We also screen out funds with a lot of portfolio turnover. We want buy-and-holders who stand by their convictions. And lastly, we exclude sector-specific funds, like health care, mining and real estate, some of which have done very well. Loads and expenses are of no concern. We're not buying their funds, just stealing their ideas.

A. any forward growth guidance you get from
a company has to be taken with a grain
of salt. dubai was not news 2 days ago,
yesterday it clipped the s n p for 20
points. these are turbulent times and
all forward statements are a guess. 5
year ones are a joke. we've had a really
nice upternd for the last 8 months, that
may be coming to and end or at the very
least its probably gonna get choppy.
you're gonna have to be the judge of the
reliability of any future estimates and
any one stock can have multiple guesses
at theirs.
