These are stocks that I believe to be good short candidates.

-
TWP
Trex Co Inc - $19.38
- +9.80%
- $17.53
The company produces composite decking products......the trailing P/E is ridiculously high at over 100, don't be fooled by looking at the foward P/E of 19, I think the analyst estimates for 2008 are still way too high.......1. housing is still in a recession, 2. U.S economy is slowing, 3. seems unlikely the Fed will be cutting interest rates in the immediate future......all adds up to a rough road ahead for Trex

-
TRLG
True Religion App - $13.43
- -4.95%
- $13.81
The chart suggests that it is going to test support around 14.75-15.00.

-
SBUX
Starbucks Corpora - $9.99
- -2.25%
- $10.04
1. The P/E multiple is still too high. 2. It is a victim of its own success. 3. It is a decelerating growth story.

-
FDX
Fedex Corp - $62.65
- -2.23%
- $63.51
I am putting myself out there with this call. 1. not cheap on a P/E basis, 2. slowing U.S. economy, 3. higher fuel costs--when oil prices fell, they claimed that savings were completely offest, I say hmm? management problem? 4. more competition from the rails, 5. Watkins trucking deal will be tough to integrate sucessfully in this environment, 6. Kinko's stores are a disaster....in a recent conference call the company blamed lower copy revenues for problems at these stores......what a poor excuse......if you have ever gone into one of these stores, you know that frequently the employees no little more about how to operate the equipment than the customers......there are plenty of copies being made......the problem is that many of them are mistakes and are not paid for.....I have a feeling that the Kinko's business is going to face more challenges for some time
