After a nice snapback from their ’08 lows, the dogs of last year’s second half are rolling over again? Should you get out while you can? We’re talking about financials, materials and energy names.

It’s important to have a view on the economy, says Finerman. Personally, I think the economy is going to get worse from here. As a result I’m short commercial real estate by being short the iShares Dow Jones US Real Estate [IYR] as well as short Forest City (FCE.A).

I’d look at the shipping industry for a play. Rates are up somewhat but the equities are up as much as 100%. Keep an eye on Dryships [DRYS] and Excel Maritime [EXM]. I expect to see some profit taking. - Pete Najarian

I like pairs trades, counsels Adami. I’d get long Wal-Mart [WMT] and short Target [TGT] against it. Then, take the trade off if either stocks moves big.

A. BGF was an enhanced income security,
which represented one share of common
stock (BGS) plus $7.15 principal amount
of senior subordinated debt. They first
separated the note from the stock, then
did a partial redemption of the bond.
You should have received the following
for each share of BGF
1 share common (BGS)
$4.28 cash per share for the partial
redemption (this includes dividend)
1 note with face value of $3.11
There really is no market for the bond
portion. You will probably end up
holding it until redemption.
Hope that helps.
A. The only one I own : SLX,
too hard pick a winner out all of them
