This fund has a Morningstar rating of 2 stars and is run by Robert Rodriguez. Rodriguez is chief executive officer and portfolio manager with First Pacific Advisors. He joined the firm in 1983 as a portfolio manager. Previously, he served as vice president and senior portfolio manager of Kaufman & Broad from 1981 to 1983. Rodriguez holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and is a member of the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts. FPA Capital Fund, Inc is an open-end fund incorporated in the USA. The Fund's objective is long-term growth of capital. Current income is a secondary objective. The Fund invests in the common stocks of U.S. companies in a variety of industries and market segments. The Fund can also invest in both government and corporate debt securities, preferred stocks and convertible securities.
