Exchange Traded Funds, or commonly known just as an ‘ETF’ is an investment asset that is traded on a stock exchange just like a stock or commodity might. However, unlike a stock, ETF’s hold various assets inside the principal ETF and are price weighted.

The recent explosion in ETF trading has aided liquidity in various markets, improved asset diversification and allocation, improved asset correlation, and acted as great day-trading vehicles for those who are more short-term minded
