This fund was featured in Fortune Magazines 2007 investors guide as one of the 7 funds to own in 2007.
In the Fortune article, the magazine is quoted as saying:
“Change is good, or at least it has been for the owners of the Excelsior Mid Cap Value and Restructuring fund. "The market is reasonably efficient," says co-manager Timothy Evnin, "but it is less good at valuing companies that are going through significant adjustments." That creates fertile ground for Evnin and co-manager John McDermott”
The fund has had annualized returns of 14.88%, 12.70%, and 13.30% for the past 1, 3, and 5 year periods respectively.
