As the name implies , this porfolio contains my core holdings which add ballast to my speculative portfolio and day to day trading. The churn rate of the holdings in this portfolio are about 3 - 6 months average depending on a number of factors.

-
MRVL
Marvell Technolog - $7.31
- -4.32%
- $7.33
I have been in and out of MRVL several times in the past two years and have recently added it again to my portfolio as a value play although I dont consider it cheap. There products are ubiquitous when it comes to technology we use in our daily lives.

-
GLW
Corning Inc - $11.14
- -3.55%
- $11.34
I purchased GLW at various levels between 12 and 16 /share during 05' as a turnaround play on increasing popularity and decreasing prices of flat panel tv's.

-
WLT
Walter Inds Inc - $22.74
- -11.52%
- $25.01
Have been in and out of WLT since 2005 very successfully and have been picking it up at a good clip recently. Total value play and this one is CHEAP.

-
NVDA
Nvidia Corporatio - $8.62
- -6.02%
- $8.96
NVDA has been terriffic. purchased originally in early 05 at 27.10 - 27.56 for a cool 51% gain per year at current levels. Will take some off the table going into earnings but will hang on to a large position as they are set to benefit from the Vista launch. Vista's graphical interface requires a sophisticated graphics card and NVDA is the only graphics company with 4 generations of mcp's and gpu's certified by Microsoft to be Vista premium ready.

-
STP
Suntech Power Hld - $12.00
- -10.78%
- $13.45
Its a solar thing, everyone needs some solar exposure ( no pun intended ) with the green revolution coming into full swing. Not to mention its China based. 2fer! I haved owned STP for about 8 months with a cost basis of appx 29 and am still accumulating.
