Seeking companies with potentially disruptive technology or companies with competitive technology and strong cash flows or cash to market cap ratios. Speculative portfolio combining value metrics and emerging growth. Many are potential take-over targets for either the business itself or owned technology. Should make up a smaller percentage of an overall portfolio.

One of the technology leaders in solar. Heavy reinvestment into R&D stunting short term profitability. Penetration to Germany and Europe via joint venture and partnerships. Test for colorectal standard very possibly to be added to national guidelines for screening in 2007. One of many biotech companies that has been through the cycle of speculation, hope, crash and retrenchment while waiting for product to become viable. Buy under 5 or on way up if added to cancer testing guidelines. APP=3 4% of portfolio Recent News: FDA warning letter. CMS evaluating for reimbursement. This is a good sign that guideline inclusion is on horizon. A ten bagger stock if that is so.

Biotech taking a shot at the holy grail of medicine- a blood substitute. Phase 3 final data suggested possibly one more incarnation of product necessary, which forced huge down trade resulting in current more fair price for the risk. Regardless of whether it's in the next year or next several, appears to have monster profit potential in trauma and possibly surgical fields. Buy under 2 or if trials are favorable on the way up. APP=8 2% of portfolio

Very strong free cash flow, though won't have financial results for 2006 on time. Depressed price on slowdown in growth of PHS in China and transition to other technologies. IP solutions are market leaders. Company still a takeover possibility for technology and market footprint. Likely to trade back to 10 fairly easily in next 1-2 years. Buy under 10, probably sell in teens on take-over or break-up spec/news. APP=6 4% of portfolio
