Picked based on earnings growth this year into next year. Heavy lean to oil services industry. Looked at quality and likelihood of earnings realization. The oil drilling services look good because the price of oil is here to stay above $50. This doesn't directly affect the drillers, but it does affect them indirectly. As oil companies (Shell, Chevron, Hess, Kerr-Mcgee, etc.) are realizing that oil has stabilized at current levels they are willing to pay drillers good money to drill in the oceans. This is keeping the contracts filled and new ones coming at higher dayrates. T.Boone Pickens and George Soros are pretty bullish in this field. Whether you believe in peak oil theory or not, there is finite supplies and increasing demand that will continue to drive the overall price of oil up in the long term. In the nearer term it will cause oil companies to look wherever they can (oceans) to find more oil to sell.

DO
Diamond Offshore - $64.09
- -4.93%
- $66.04
Good earnings this year and projected for next year based on solid fleet status, and good contracts. Look to hit $110 by this year, $150 next year.

-
RIG
Transocean Ltd - $54.91
- -3.53%
- $55.69
Same as DO, target at $95 this year.

-
NE
Noble Corp - $23.97
- -5.89%
- $24.98
Same as DO. Possible takeover target? Doesn't matter though, on P/E alone this one will hit $105 this year and 140-50 next.

-
GSF
Gsf - $0.00
- N/A
- $N/A
Possible takeover as well. Again, doesn't matter since the earnings will drive it up anyway to $105 this year.

-
HAL
Halliburton Co - $20.69
- -1.05%
- $20.30
Oil and gas driller. Possible natural gas play. Buyback share plan. Target at $43.

-
PMTI
Palomar Medical T - $10.84
- -4.07%
- $11.13
Leader in cosmetic lasers. This industry isn't going away as vanity sells. In fact it will come home more as products are developed that can be used in home. PMTI has the best R&D of the companies and entered an agreement with Gillette who will market and sell Palomar's products to consumers. Can't go wrong with that--- not fully factored into price. Target $55 by year's end.
