High Risk, Growth oriented, long term plays. I'm a sucker for out of favor value plays.

-
TIVO
Tivo Inc. - $10.66
- -1.57%
- $10.76
Everyone loves to hate this stock. With a massive short position and a healthy dose of pessimism, this is priced very cheap. Possible takeover play, but only if they get rid of the poison pill first.

-
NFLX
Netflix - $59.97
- -0.48%
- $59.57
They were pioneers in their industry and continue to lead. The market loves to play with their stock price, but if you can handle the volatility, you can get exposure to a company that is still early in it's growth curve.

-
DIVX
Divx - $5.21
- +0.19%
- $5.16
The stock is off of it's high. High growth + High margins + Low Valuation = Juicy

-
CSTR
Coinstar - $26.50
- +0.95%
- $26.25
The company is a little expensive, but the've demonstrated strong growth, have a healthy balance sheet, exposure to Redbox and I think a pending Walmart deal. Best case, you end up owning a nice growth play, worse case - the company's growth initives fail and you're left with a nice little value play. The company is currently buying back stock, could see a dividend introduced before the end of the year.

-
MVL
Marvel Entertainm - $51.83
- -0.15%
- $51.74
Great play on content. They have characters that are very licensable. Management has done a lot to improve the deals that the company is making.

-
UNTD
United Online - $7.27
- +3.41%
- $7.00
People have written them off, but if investors only knew about how much data they are mining for, they'd assign a much different valuation to the company.

-
TTWO
Take-two Interact - $11.20
- -0.71%
- $11.21
New blood will come in and replace existing leadership. We should see nice appreciation on the stock once more shareholder friendly policies are put into place.

-
SMOD
Smart Modular Tec - $4.78
- +4.60%
- $4.64
Small cap manufacturer of flash storage devices. Almost 50% of their revenues come from HPQ and CSCO. Narrow margins and insiders just dumped, but not getting the respect it deserves.
