Stocks for appreciation. I do not think that this is a buy and hold market. Staying away from financials and retail other than discounters.

-
CMG
Chipotle Mex Gril - $83.88
- -1.86%
- $85.00
I liked what Cramer said about restaurant darwinism and think that although he did not mention CMG, the logic applies. CMG the company has been doing well in a difficult environment while CMG the stock got cut in half. I think it was way overvalued but think that the current price is attractive.

-
RIG
Transocean Ltd - $83.80
- -1.67%
- $84.83
This is my oldest stock. I bought more when the market went down on 10/19/07. I do not understand why it trades with oil, but know that it does. It has done well but has been less dramatic than I thought. Deep water is where the remaining big oil finds are to be discovered. I think that pushing RIG down because oil is off its high is silly. Their rigs are in strong demand.

-
TJX
T J X Cos Inc - $38.80
- -0.77%
- $39.00
The consumer is watching his/her money. JCP is where they go to get quality at a discount price.

-
FCX
Freeport Mcmoran - $84.57
- -0.18%
- $84.08
I bought this cheap and it has gotten cheaper. I'll hold on to this. The quarter really was not bad but was interpreted as so. They invested a lot in capacity and at their big mine in Indonesia were at a stage where they were going through a lot of poor quality rock to get to the richer part in the second half of the year.

-
GOOG
Google Inc. - $569.964
- -0.53%
- $569.99
GOOG is a cheap way to advertise and is increasingly sophisticated in telling advertisers how to target. There are not many companies with the kind of growth that GOOG has and will continue to have.

JEC
Jacobs Engineerng - $36.59
- +0.08%
- $36.38
I think that when this market gets past the throw out the baby with the bath water stage, this company will do very well.

-
AKAM
Akamai Technologi - $23.94
- -1.28%
- $24.07
One of a number of stocks that got killed for admitting that the economy was going to go through a soft period. Better to lie? Attractively priced.
