CAT
Caterpillar Inc - $60.06
- +0.17%
- $60.76
Great play on the construction boom overseas. While the US housing market is stalled or even depressed, the ROW and BRIC real estate markets continue to skyrocket. CAT has made signficant price gains over the past couple of months, continuely stretching itself to new 52-week highs. This stock still has room to grow and is the all star of the Dow Jones Industrials Index.

Been biding my time waiting for the stock to take off again. Eddie Lampert may be the heir apparent to the Oracle of Omaha. Strides have been made with both the Sears and KMart stores, however, the improvement hasn't been as fast as many of us would have liked. The key to this stock is the investing prowness of Eddie Lampert and the hoard of cash on hand Eddie has. The stock will need a catalyst to restart its growth. Lampert may be close to making another purchase to improve this investing vehicle.

NYX
Nyse Euronext - $27.30
- +1.22%
- $27.29
Not getting any respect at the moment, but the growth on this stock will start again. The Euronext numbers are just too good. When you think of the stock market NYSE is the first thing to come to mind.

LVLT

- $1.23
Broadband shortage will make LVLT a major player in the Telecom market.

I'm not backing away from Rupert Murdoch. He has time and time again showed his genious in picking up or creating the kind of media properties that the general public wants. The new business channel will be a success regardless if he gets the Dow Jones or not. My money is on Newscorp in the fight for Dow Jones.

GOOG

If you had to buy just one stock and hold it for the next 20 years, this would be the one I would recommend. When you think of internet you think of Google. It has it's own verb for crying out loud. With the total number of PC's in the world screaming towards 5 billion within the next 10 years, there are many of new Google users still yet.

Goodyear Tire Rub - $13.53

- $13.79
I like this stock as a spec play. As automobile become more and more popular in ROW and BRIC, as well as the need for trucking and mass transportation, the world is going to need tires for all these things. The company has been steadily increasing its credit rating, and paying down it's debt. This stock has run alot, but I feel like it's still got more room to run.
