GIS
Gen Mills Inc - $67.60
- +0.48%
- $67.42
Signs of life. Did General Mills (GIS) not get the memo that it is supposed to be going down? Aren't supermarkets going to push private-label cereals ... and how much Gold Medal Flour and Hamburger Helper can you sell? What's with Baxter (BAX) and Becton-Dickinson (BDX)? Do they think they can be immune from the Obama rapier? I mean, aren't hospitals going to have to cut back in everything? Let's beat these right back down. Seriously, what I am looking for is some sense that something is working. That "something" means that there is a thesis that some stock has been punished too hard. We know, for example, that biotech is liked by the Democrats, not scorned, and that the reason is simple: their drugs save lives. We also know that the AIG (AIG) issue is bullish, not bearish, in the sense that if they let it go, we would have another Lehman. Anyway, I will trust the market to bargain-hunt -- not that I won't want to flip -- when I see some divergence between the "bad" Obama stocks and the good ones.
