Jim made several calls over the last week either on his show or in a column or post and we highlight them in this portfolio for you.

-
WYNN
Wynn Resorts - $62.98
- -3.66%
- $62.33
Wynn Resorts, Limited (WYNN) should be your play if you want to get into economic growth in China. Chinese capitalists were called the "only real capitalists in the world right now" by Jim with the rapid growth eventually leading them to buy U.S. properties.

-
HPQ
Hewlett Packard C - $49.07
- -1.96%
- $48.94
Tech stocks are where Jim has told us to be in for some time and Hewlett-Packard Company (HPQ) is a stock he has told us consistently to be in. They reported blowout numbers last month and delivered serious upside surprise. There are times that the upside is a sandbag but HPQ beat by a legitimate five cents off of a company that would do a 66 cents per share in earnings. Price wars have lowered costs for HPQ as well while they have managed to not lower their own prices. To talk about the success the CEO Mark Hurd joined Jim. He turned a stock that was a "bit of a dud" into "one of the best tech stocks out there" in a couple of years. The landscape of the PC business has changed and HPQ has stayed focused on fundamentals, cost structure and service to customers. The work in U.S. and emerging markets has helped them turn around. Back to school sales from notebook PCs to college students should drive them. They are acquiring new companies as well, with the recent purchase of Opsware Inc. (OPSW). Hurd thinks that HPQ is set to have its best days in the future. Jim agrees and thinks that HPQ at $50 is the "cheapest of the big cap tech stocks."

PEET
Peet's Coffee & T - $32.93
- -1.76%
- $33.00
A bull market was found in the obituaries section of the paper by Jim. Alfted Peet died at the age of 87 and he was considered the grandfather of the specialty coffee business after starting Peet's Coffee & Tea, Inc. (PEET) back in 1966. The first comparison in coffee is going to be made with Starbucks Corporation (SBUX) and PEET was one of the inspirations behind the creation of SBUX. PEET is smaller than SBUX but it is growing much faster and is a regional to national story. This is a small rival to SBUX but it is not a copycay. This is a good entry point at its current level. Also they have a large inventory of coffee beans to fall back on in the case of hurricanes causing the prices of beans to spike again like they did during Katrina.

CG
- $0.00
- 0.00%
- $N/A
Altria Group, Inc. (MO) is finally breaking itself up into two businesses and Jim talked about how to play the break up. He doesn't see the play as on the break up but on Carolina Group (CG). Cigarette volumes are on the decline and this is a steady long term trend. This is good for our health but bad for tobacco stocks. Domestically menthol cigarettes are still growing though. Newport is taking market share with brand loyalty. Lorillard owns Newport and is wholly owned by CG. Production and promotion and ownership of the highest priced premium brand is only can make you money. Newport has a loyal, young customer base and they may have done abhorrent things to get those kids smoking but it is about making money. There is also room to expand as they are based mostly east of the Mississippi. Last is that a lawsuit that is set to end will cause CG to raise the dividend payout as much as $5 if Jim is right. The bottom line he gave us was "cigarettes may be disgusting, but CG has real growth, expansion opportunities and a great dividend catalyst coming."

-
COST
Costco Wholesale - $60.03
- -1.41%
- $59.49
Costco Wholesale Corporation (COST) was called a buy today. Soft same store sales should not worry investors. The company is a great merchandiser with their bets working at times and at times not. The misses give great buying opportunities.

-
HLF
Herbalife Ltd. - $42.41
- 0.00%
- $N/A
Herbalife Ltd. (HLF) the stock has 80% gross margins and over 20% earnings growth with a 1.9% yield, huge cash flow and an amazing buyback. The stock still looks cheap so CEO Michael Johnson joined the show. He does not think enough investors are familiar with the operations of the company. HLF was once thought of as a "pyramid scheme" but now they are one of the largest network marking companies in the world. The CEO wishes he could bring every investor into the company and show them how reliable and honorably it operates. Jim has been recommending the stock since it was at $39, and he thinks it could be trading at as much as $20 higher than current levels. They have a marketing deal with the L.A. Galaxy that will help. Now the focus is more on retailing than direct selling. HLF is one of the "great transformation stories" according to Jim and Johnson is providing strong leadership in "clearing up" the company's image.
