"These are the themes that let you sleep at night without nightmares," Cramer told viewers. "New tech," he said, is the place to be.

However, Cramer said the real potential of EnerSys lies in its proprietary Thin Pure Plate Lead (TPPL) battery technology. Using this technology, EnerSys is manufacturing batteries that run longer with less maintenance and come in smaller packages. Cramer said these batteries could soon replace traditional lithium-ion batteries used in hybrid cars. EnerSys' TPPL business currently only accounts for 10% of the company's sales, but with demand outstripping supply, Cramer sees the technology playing a much bigger role for the company in the future. EnerSys, he said, is also in a position to pass most of its rising commodity costs directly onto the consumers, helping its bottom line.

Not all new-tech companies are, well, new. Navistar was a new tech player back at the turn of the 20th century and is again part of new-tech more than 100 years later. Navistar (NAVZ) makes trucks and school buses, where it’s got 60% market share. Other than Cummins (CMI), Navistar is the leader in fuel-efficient engines. It was the first player to make hybrid commercial trucks and school buses. It’s got a pipeline chock full of environmentally friendly power-saving products like an auxiliary power unit that helps trucks producer power without idling the engine and a new diesel engine that’s incredibly efficient. It also has a growing military arm, where it manufactures mine-resistant vehicles. The company said this could become a $2 billion business.

The company makes food packaging equipment that helps process and store food more efficiently, in turn reducing waste and feeding the world. Cramer also likes the company’s specialty power segment and growing international revenues. He said the company has great earnings visibility and growth the usual technology company’s dream about. Cramer explained that the stock is down 12% because of a bidding war with Manitowoc (MTW) over Enodis. He said this is a perfect time to pick up shares of ITW because the stock will be driven lower due to the bidding war. Once the bidding is over he thinks the stock will march higher.
