"These managers are itching to put money to work, and they fear that when October, a seasonably week month, is over, that will leave two months that have produced terrific rallies: November and December." - Jim Cramer

-
INTC
Intel Corporation - $19.39
- -0.05%
- $19.44
There's plenty to pick here today. Intel (INTC), forced down by options, and likely to generate another huge quarter, is a place to go.

-
SNDK
Sandisk Corporati - $19.82
- -2.56%
- $20.31
Some other weak techs, SanDisk (SNDK), Seagate Technology (STX), TriQuint Semiconductor (TQNT) and Cypress Semiconductor (CY), might make sense to get started in.

-
STX
Seagate Technolog - $15.67
- -1.57%
- $15.99
Some other weak techs, SanDisk (SNDK), Seagate Technology (STX), TriQuint Semiconductor (TQNT) and Cypress Semiconductor (CY), might make sense to get started in.

-
TQNT
Triquint Semicond - $5.44
- -0.91%
- $5.48
Some other weak techs, SanDisk (SNDK), Seagate Technology (STX), TriQuint Semiconductor (TQNT) and Cypress Semiconductor (CY), might make sense to get started in.

-
CY
Cypress Semicondu - $9.70
- -0.10%
- $9.77
Some other weak techs, SanDisk (SNDK), Seagate Technology (STX), TriQuint Semiconductor (TQNT) and Cypress Semiconductor (CY), might make sense to get started in.

-
AA
Alcoa Inc - $12.92
- -1.07%
- $13.03
It may pay to circle back to some winners: Alcoa (AA) really did have a great quarter and you have an opportunity to buy that one at a decent place.

-
GS
Goldman Sachs Grp - $171.13
- -0.51%
- $171.64
Also, elephant in room Goldman Sachs (GS) is still being hammered even as the numbers have room to go up.

A. Only a guess but the fate of the company
seems as though it is subject to the
outcome of a court ruling which could
very well be based political forces in
play . . . no different than how GM had
been manhandled when it was revamped by
the Obama administration. . . Thought
being that the puts represent someone
from one side or the other feeling
secure in their 'bet'.
Having said that, with a high debt
ratio, having such an extremely high run
up in stock price in the past 12 months
and good news baked in on the
possibility that a military contract may
be in hand, to short does not appear,
imo, to be wildly out of favorable
consideration. . . if only for a small
wager.
