The stock has taken a beating for a number of reasons and I feel that over the long term it will be a winner. Especially the bio sciences startup they are thinking of doing a separate IPO for. Either way, its a conservative bet that they will turn around.

Just going with my gut that a lot of the private equity buyouts that have been going on are starting to payback this fallen internet giant and the last quarter was just a small portion of future earnings surprises to come.

I relied largely on The Streets Stocks Under 10 in taking this position. I do not follow all of their advice, but after some additional research, I think it presents a measured growth opportunity.

I think the current price is being battered by a cyclical condition of the industry and a psychological need by the herd to short this stock for short term wins. However, over the long term JBLU is solid. I hold some options contracts on this stock and a few hundred shares.
