The way that I found these companies was by looking for small cap plays on a strong global economy and strong commodities prices. All of these companies have a price-to-earnings ratio (P/E) that is less than 2x the company's estimated earnings-per-share (EPS) growth rate.

In case you have not noticed, there seems to be no slowdown in the construction and reconstruction of roads in the U.S. The company sells its products in the U.S. and across the globe including the burgeoning economies of Latin America, Africa, Europe, and Asia. Interestingly, the company does little business in China because of protectionist tariffs and low demand for its high technology equipment.
