Based in Monrovia, a suburb of LA. Aeronvironment is small growth play in Defense with unmanned surviellance aircraft. PE is less than 16 as of 8/1/07 and growth rate is 20-25%. Add innovative products in alternative energy. Architectual wind looks promising for future commercial/industrial construction as energy generating product (facilities can install reverse meters and sell energy to utilities in California). The positcharge battery systems save industries in energy costs and time. Two bull markets in one stock. Growth. Can architectural wind compete with solar? + Blends better into architecture than solar. Lower cost. Recoup cost sooner. - Need consistent source of wind. Solar has tax advantages and rebates. Wind doesn't yet.

  • CVX
    Chevron Corp
  • $80.22
  • -1.23%
  • $81.00

Chevron has most of its refining in California. Thanks to the State EPA, California gas is the most expensive with refineries spending more to meet clean air standards while reaping higher margins at the pump due to California car culture. And every time, some idiot commutes 50-100 roundtrip to his job in his SUV in any urban county in California, Chevron rings the cash register. The foreclosure market in Sacramento, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, and LA Counties will not change that demand. Value

Global warming will drive up the eed for air conditioning. Inland growth will come back in 2009 after the subprime slime has been cleaned up. Value
