This fund has a Morningstar rating of 3 stars and is run by Nick Calamos. Calamos is head of investments and co-chief investment officer at Calamos Advisers. Since joining Calamos in 1983, his experience has centered on convertible securities investment. Calamos has been instrumental in developing the Calamos Convertible Research System (CCRS), a sophisticated, proprietary research system that monitors and scans the entire convertible market for the best available investment opportunities. Calamos holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Calamos Global Growth and Income Fund is an open-end fund incorporated in the USA. The Fund's objective is high long-term total return through capital appreciation and current income. The Fund invests primarily in a globally diversified portfolio of convertible, equity and fixed-income securities.

A. On DRYS, I'd look at the shipping
industry overall. He references $BDI,
there's also a $BDTI for oil tankers.
They trend differently. I suppose it
depends on your timeframe as to whether
or not you consider. Global trade is
chugging along (reference on DSX for
example were more related to
transatlantic traffic than pacific).
