Zacks rank 1 when I bought it. Massively undervalued. CEO says its very high dividend is "well secured". Competes for high credit worthy mortgage borrowers, of whom there are many in a growing economy and good job market. Stock price is suppressed by worries over sub-prime lenders and the housing market in general. LUM does not underwrite sub-prime loans and it has flexibility to invest in bonds or elsewhere if not enough money can be deployed as mortgages.
