“The fund seeks to provide long-term growth of capital. Under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 80% of total assets primarily in securities of global companies in health sciences and related industries, in all capitalization ranges.”
Morningstar gives the fund 5 stars. The fund is managed by Thomas Callan. Morningstar has the following biography for him:
Callan is a managing director and senior portfolio manager. Before becoming part of BlackRock,Callan had been with the PNC Asset Management Group, which he joined in 1992. He began his career at PNC Bank as a personal trust portfolio manager in 1988 and became a research analyst in 1992. Callan holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
