From Barron's 7-30-07:
"Whether the stock market is bending or in the process of breaking will determine whether investors will be able to recall with laughter last week's 5% drop in the indexes.
Even from these reduced heights, it's possible for market bulls to look back on the late-February scare with a satisfied smirk, as a short-lived bend in a long-lasting climb."
There are 2 stocks built for this current market. They feast on market volatility and are riding the secular growth in derivatives volumes.

-
CME
Cme Group Inc. - $203.00
- -3.49%
- $211.32
From Barron's 7-30-07: "CME (recently merged with CBOT) handled double its average futures volume on Thursday. Rich Repetto of Sandler O'Neill notes that after a similar volume spike in February and on June 27, CME shares jumped 10% or so in the next two weeks. Huge July open interest suggests strong volumes for the rest of the quarter. Repetto has a price target above 600."

-
IBKR
Interactive Broke - $19.41
- +3.13%
- $18.92
From Barron's 7-30-07: "Interactive Brokers is a discount broker and derivatives market maker, whose shares are 23% below their May 4 IPO price of $30. The stock valuation, a bit rich at the IPO price, is a reasonable 14 times 2008 profits. Interactive, interestingly, would benefit from an M&A slowdown -- it gets gaffed when traders use options to front-run unannounced deals."

If ya think electric is going to be a
