Fred Hickey is author of the High-Tech Strategist newsletter.

In part 3 of Barron’s 2007 Roundtable, published in the magazines Jan 29th issue, Schafer talks about companies he has recommended in the past, and how he still thinks their stock prices don’t reflect the underlying fundamentals.

Hickey is very cautious about the stock market. He sold most of his tech stocks late last year and has gone to a max defensive position. He likes precious metals, cash and the following short stock picks.

Hickey believes the Fed will eventually "drop money from helicopters", a reference to a comment Ben Bernake once made regarding preventing deflation, and that Gold will greatly benefit.
