The following is a list of companies from a collection of various research reports.

-
AMSC
American Supercon - $33.00
- +3.51%
- $32.45
From Barron's 7-30-07: Buy - Price 20.68 on July 25 by Signal Hill Securities "AMSC makes products that enhance generation, transmission and usage of electrical power, including wind-turbine designs and high-temperature-superconductor wire and HTS wire-based rotating electrical machinery...AMSC announced a substantial power-electronics order for $70 million from Chinese wind-power customer Sinovel. Expect orders to be recognized in the fiscal-year '08 period for [an estimated] 1,400 power-module assemblies...We believe this incremental revenue could result in upward EPS revisions of between 18 cents and 44 cents per FY08 share, depending on operating leverage."

-
EGLE
Eagle Bulk Shippi - $4.95
- +5.54%
- $4.76
From Barron's 7-30-07: Buy - Price 23.39 on July 25 by Cantor Fitzgerald "Eagle [will] purchase 26 Supramax newbuilds for an aggregate $1.1 billion; delivery expected 2008-2012. Raising price target to 31 based on our new 13 times enterprise value/earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization multiple to our 2009 Ebitda estimate of $148 million. We're now using 2009 Ebitda for valuation due to long-term nature of the acquired contracts."

-
HDIX
Home Diagnostics - $6.23
- 0.00%
- $N/A
From Barron's 7-30-07: Outperform - Price 11.17 on July 24 by Barrington Research "HDIX develops blood-glucose monitoring systems...for diabetics. With 3% market share in U.S., and co-branding agreements with largest national retailers/distributors, we see excellent growth opportunity...The [initial public offering] in September 2006, at 12 a share...allowed HDIX to pay off debt balance...17 target is based on price/earnings multiple of 22 times our FY08 estimate of 78 cents. We applied a [price-to-earnings-growth] ratio of 1 times, [versus] group average 1.2 times."

-
OAKF
Oakf - $0.00
- N/A
- $N/A
From Barron's 7-30-07: Underperform - Price 33.05 on July 20 by Hilliard Lyons "Ohio-based Oak Hill, a $1.3 billion financial holding company, announced definitive agreement to be merged into WesBanco (WSBC). Anticipated merger consummation is late 4Q07...the deal priced at $36.46 per Oak Hill share...the transaction priced at 204% of book value ($17.85), 232% of tangible book value ($15.75), and 19.1 times last 12 months' earnings ($1.91)."

-
RDC
Rowan Cos Inc - $26.76
- +5.15%
- $25.95
From Barron's 7-30-07: Outperform - Price 45.70 on July 24 by Morgan Keegan "[We] continue to like RDC as we stick with quality despite continuing weakness in an uncertain U.S. Gulf commodity-rig environment...[We are] decreasing 2007/2008 EPS to $4.16/$4.77 from $4.21/$4.94...and are expecting a rebound for day rates later this year. [We'll] likely see stock appreciation if RDC can sidestep lower day-rate trend seen last hurricane season."

-
TFX
Teleflex Inc - $52.18
- 0.00%
- $N/A
From Barron's 7-30-07: Buy - Price 84 on July 24 by Garp Research & Securities "Teleflex agreed to purchase Arrow [maker of disposable medical supplies] in an all-cash transaction totaling $2 billion/$45.50 a share...a 20% premium. Deal close expected by end of 4Q07...The medical segment should produce $1.4 billion of revenue, or over 45% of corporate total. This is up from 35% right now and 23% just seven years ago. Profitability from medical division is nearly twice that of the aerospace business...Teleflex has shown proficiency in growing through bolt-on acquisitions...[M]anagement expects...[up to] $75 million of cost savings by 2010. We think this should contribute to nearly $8 of EPS by that year."

-
WFT
Weatherford Intl - $18.49
- +4.35%
- $18.16
From Barron's 7-30-07: Hold - Price 57.23 on July 24 by Sterne Agee "WFT reported 2Q07 operating [earnings per share] of 68 cents, versus 53 cents in 2Q06. Our estimate was 71 cents; First Call's consensus estimate was 73 cents...The Canadian market, in which the rig count was down 51% year-over-year, hurt Weatherford due to the company's generally higher level of...exposure to Canadian activity. Target price: 57."

-
ZRAN
Zoran Corporation - $9.75
- +1.25%
- $9.70
From Barron's 7-30-07: Hold - Price 19.70 on July 24 by W.R. Hambrecht "Q2 results and the guidance were much stronger than our expectations....We're impressed by increasing profitability of Zoran [maker of integrated circuits and software for digital-audio and video-compression applications]; although revenue guidance remains within our expectations, DTVs continue to disappoint...we recommend investors to stay on the sidelines due to...lack of earnings-growth-potential. We see relatively flat y-o-y earnings growth in 2008E. So at 17 times our 2008 EPS estimate of $1.15, we find the valuation not compelling and maintain Hold rating."
