ExpressJet Holdings (XJT) Hayman Advisors wants ExpressJet to increase the size of its board to 10 directors from nine, and appoint William Loftus to the new Class III directorship. Hayman has been in talks with ExpressJet about the company's business, relationship with Continental Airlines (CAL) and developments in the airline industry. Hayman holds 3,948,578 shares (1.8% of the total outstanding).

Wynnefield Partners Small Cap Value wants Brian Kahn to be appointed to White Electronic's board, to fill the vacancy created by Hamid Shokrgozar's resignation. Wynnefield owns about 1.28 million shares (5.7%).

VF Investments reported owning 2,063,300 SRG shares (7.2%), bought at $10 apiece on Aug. 20.

Chapman Capital cut its stake to 255,063 shares (4.9%), from the 276,763 (5.3%) reported in June.

Small Ventures, a Houston commodities and securities trading firm, sold its entire stake in a private transaction to Centaurus Energy Master Fund at $7.57 a share. On Aug. 13, Small Ventures reported holding about 2.85 million shares (8.8%).

Cobalt Capital Management which holds a 6.72% stake, sent a letter urging Horsehead to repurchase more than 30% of its common stock over the next 12 to 18 months. Cobalt also suggested that Horsehead assess the standalone economic merit of smelting secondary material, evaluate a purely integrated business model, and reconsider its resistance to taking on debt.
