HealthCor has attempted to talk with Trimeris but contends management's been "nonresponsive." HealthCor reported a stake of 3,340,000 shares or (15.04% of total outstanding shares)."

Fron Barron's 8-19-07: "Pequot Capital Management says that it has "significant concerns" about the company's decision to pursue a $16-a-share, all-cash proposal from a consortium led by the private-equity firm TPG Capital. Pequot Capital reported ownership of 2.18 million shares (8.8%)." Update: On Thursday, Midwest accepted the TPG offer.

MMI Investments had been opposing the deal, citing the $27.10-a-share acquisition price as inadequate, and unfair to Acxiom shareholders. MMI Investments holds 7,205,288 shares (8.9% of the total outstanding)."

RGM maintains that Cascade's continued investment in the pyramid probe-card business -- the cards are used for production testing of semiconductor chips -- has led to significant operating losses that have been "destructive" to shareholder value. RGM also argues that Cascade's "hunt for acquisitions" has caused the company to "lose focus." RGM Capital currently owns 860,075 shares (6.71%)."

Under an agreement with Imation, TDK is permitted to boost its interest to as much as 21% through purchases on the open market. TDK said it anticipates boosting its stake to more than 20% but less than 21%, through one or more additional purchases by the end of March 2008. TDK reported ownership of 6.83 million shares (16.6%)."
