From Barron's 6-25-07: "Pennant Capital Management reiterated its "strong objections" to the company's proposed merger with GE Capital Solutions and Blackstone Group. The investor said it wants PHH to provide shareholders with the information required to understand alternatives to the proposed sale by filing a definitive proxy statement that "alleviates the gaping holes" in the preliminary statement. Pennant Capital currently holds 4,169,800 shares (7.8% of the total outstanding)."

From Barron's 6-25-07: "Nostrum Pharmaceuticals plans to nominate three candidates for election to Synovics' board at its annual meeting, scheduled for Aug. 17. The nominees would be Nirmal V. Mulye, Michael T. Newhouse and Sachin Tikekar. Nostrum previously said it wasn't satisfied with the performance of current management, noting its failure to take steps to maximize shareholder value. Nostrum has 10,661,000 shares (35.99%)."

From Barron's 6-25-07: "RMR Hospitality said that the legal expenses it incurred in its litigation with Bulldog Investors General Partnership "are the result of the tactics" employed by the hedge fund. RMR said in November that it had sued shareholder Bulldog Investors to enforce a provision of the company's bylaws that restricts ownership by any shareholder or group of shareholders to 9.8%. Bulldog Investors said that amounts spent by the company in its legal dispute with the hedge fund "have already had a materially adverse impact on the fund's net asset value." Bulldog Investors holds 243,400 shares (9.79%)."
