The investor said it wants PHH to provide shareholders with the information required to understand alternatives to the proposed sale by filing a definitive proxy statement that "alleviates the gaping holes" in the preliminary statement. Pennant Capital currently holds 4,169,800 shares (7.8% of the total outstanding)."

From Barron's 6-25-07: "Nostrum Pharmaceuticals plans to nominate three candidates for election to Synovics' board at its annual meeting, scheduled for Aug. 17. The nominees would be Nirmal V. Mulye, Michael T. Newhouse and Sachin Tikekar. Nostrum previously said it wasn't satisfied with the performance of current management, noting its failure to take steps to maximize shareholder value. Nostrum has 10,661,000 shares (35.99%)."

From Barron's 6-25-07: "RMR Hospitality said that the legal expenses it incurred in its litigation with Bulldog Investors General Partnership "are the result of the tactics" employed by the hedge fund. RMR said in November that it had sued shareholder Bulldog Investors to enforce a provision of the company's bylaws that restricts ownership by any shareholder or group of shareholders to 9.8%. Bulldog Investors said that amounts spent by the company in its legal dispute with the hedge fund "have already had a materially adverse impact on the fund's net asset value." Bulldog Investors holds 243,400 shares (9.79%)."

From Barron's 6-25-07: "Applied Digital Solutions (ADSX) said that it has been in contact with a third party regarding a potential sale of all or substantially all of the shares of its majority owned subsidiary, InfoTech USA."

From Barron's 6-25-07: "H Partners Capital strongly opposes a recapitalization plan recently announced by the company. H Partners said the recapitalization plan "disenfranchises minority shareholders and allows insiders and other parties to profit at their expense." H Partners Capital holds 1.2 million shares (6.4%)."

From Barron's 6-25-07: "Barington Cos. Equity Partners wants the company to dispose of its automotive, glassware and candle businesses. Barington said the company's "failure to promptly divest these business segments has prolonged the time" that Lancaster has operated under an "inefficient 'holding company' structure," which has imposed additional expenses on the company and its shareholders. Barington owns about 1.66 million shares (5.29%)."

From Barron's 6-25-07: "A group including Rye 68 reported ownership of 686,000 shares (5.26%), after buying 500,000 in a privately negotiated transaction from Kenneth Manswer, a former director of the company, on June 19 at $8.25 a share."
