"The Clinton Group commends the board for making changes to its composition and says that it won't support any alternative slate at the 2008 annual meeting. Clinton Group said the addition of Lt. Gen. Gordon Fornell, whom Clinton Group had suggested, and James Mitarotonda to the board is a very positive step. Clinton Group holds 2,964,786 shares (9.9%)."

"An investor group including John Ziegelman and CD Capital Management asked Meadow Valley to add Ziegelman to the board and to name him chairman of a strategic-alternatives committee. Ziegelman outlined his reasons for wanting to join the board, and maintained that he has the "proven skills and experience to lead the company in this endeavor." The CD Capital group has 369,710 shares (7.2%)."
