InFocus (INFS) Caxton Associates said that due to "unsatisfactory conversations" with INFS management, it intends to call a special meeting to seek to replace most of InFocus' board. Caxton may propose amending InFocus' bylaws to change the number of directors who make up the board. Caxton holds 4,438,200 shares (11.2% of the total outstanding).

Champps Entertainment (CMPP) Loeb Partners wrote to Champps to question the restaurant chain's decision to try to sell itself, and whether the board conducted an auction to maximize shareholder value by selling the company to the highest bidder before approving a "below-market offer." (CMPP recently agreed to be acquired by an investment entity formed by Kinderhook Industries for $75 million in cash.) Loeb and its affiliates hold 842,540 shares (6.4%).

National Home Health Care (NHHC) Salvatore Alternative plans to vote against the proposed acquisition of the company by Angelo Gordon & Co., and said the consideration "inadequately compensates" shareholders. Salvatore Alternative said that the process that led to the signing of the merger agreement was "flawed and was not designed to obtain the highest possible sales price" for the company's holders. Salvatore Alternative owns 477,482 shares (8.5%).
