Date updated:07-09-2007
A well balanced mix of stocks . Currently I hold, in addition to below, 15% cash. I expect a market pullback in Q2/Q3 of 2007 and have planed accordingly, but still can profit from further increases in the markets.

-
VTR
Ventas Inc - $40.95
- +4.65%
- $39.60
A REIT that specializes in Health Care properties. The price has been beaten up in sympathy with sub-prime. VTR has a nicely diversified portfolio, with long-term leases, pays a 5% dividend, and is able to raise funds with investment-grade issues.

-
INCY
Incyte Corporatio - $7.35
- +1.38%
- $7.15
A biotech company with a track record....since before 1995. Of course everything depends on results in phase I and II trials, but they are working with Pfizer on inflammatory disease compounds, so that is a plus. They have a nice wide range of compounds to test covering diabetes and HIV. However, this is still a speculative stock and represents a small part of my overall portfolio.

-
UNH
Unitedhealth Grou - $29.13
- +1.60%
- $28.31
Undervalued Growth Was happy to get in before Buffet on this one! Sure the Democrats are in Congress but that does not stop UNH from improving earnings and continuing its stock buyback program. Backdating problems are behind it and the stock represents a good value based on it distribution of Medicare products compared with other industry leaders (the annual report is a must read for this stock).

-
GMKT
Gmkt - $0.00
- N/A
- $N/A
Spec Stock If the company hits earning for this year, we should be looking at a 50 dollar stock. I'm looking to see increased revenue from advertising helping to drive earnings. The opening of Gmarket's Japan site in the Q3/Q4 period will hopefully go smoothly. 8.46% of portfolio

-
BP
Bp Plc - $59.93
- +2.57%
- $59.68
BP is undervalued because of all its problems in Alaska, the Gulf of Mexico and in Russia. These problems are serious but the company is in the market every day buying back stock to support the price. They have the cash and oil seems to be well supported above 60 dollars. It looks like BP will be able to keep part of its natural gas assets in Russia, Alaska is back on track, and Thunder Horse deepwater will get going in the future and represents a major find in the gulf.

-
TMO
Thermo Fisher Sci - $45.39
- +1.14%
- $45.03
The recent merger resulted in a company that sells everything for public and private research and also has increased pricing power in the market. It appears that merger with Fisher Scientific is going well and thus growth looks good this year.

-
CY
Cypress Semicondu - $8.85
- +1.37%
- $8.80
I can't see buying solar stocks, but CY owns 75% of Sun Power. The value of the SPWR holdings in CY means you are getting a profitable chip maker for free. Granted that SPWR is probably overvalued, buy CY is worth much more than the stock would indicate. I doubt many people know of the CY-SPWR connection.

-
ISLN
Isilon Systems - $5.92
- 0.00%
- $N/A
Isilon Systems builds its own systems for clustered storage systems specifically for media content. There is big competition is this space with ECM, but ISNL has the better technology and will start turning a profit this year. It could be a buyout target, but is an even better long-term growth play.
