Mattel lead based toys are stopped in shipping and have been pulled from the shelves. When ConAg had to pull their Peanut Butter all the other makers benefitted. So I went to Toys R Us to see who is filling the empty shelves left by Mattel. A lot of Makers are private label, or doesn't trade on US markets like BRIO B (Lincoln logs) which is traded on the Stockholm Exchange or MGA Entertainment (bratz) which is private.
Quick Note: This is the Nymphs first attempt in creating a specialized portfilio..after seeing the cramer on demand video last wk...I thought what a great idea to take my homework to a new level...so this one may not be so good..learning process and such..I did not include Leap Frog because there stuff is still not selling or MegaBrands or Playmates which are OTC...time to play.

JAKK
Jakks Pacific - $12.65

- $12.87
Jakks Pacific makes Cabbage Dolls besides other toys. Toys R Us had half an isle with them. In 1978 the first Cabbage Doll was sold...people buy their childhood toys around 30 yrs of age...so there may be a interest when Moms shop this Christmas? 641.81 Mil Cap P/E 10.10 eps 2.25 Missed last qtr. indicating they had to pay higher royalties. But may take share due to Mattel Recall. They do use China to make the Dolls.

Hasbro Inc - $29.59

Hasbro and Mattel seem to share Toys r Us..Hasbro includes PlaySchool amoung other toys. They did have their Easy Bake Oven recalled but can fill the void especially if Mattel has more problems.Plus, they are having a major buyback. But they did miss their last qtr...but they do have the Transformer Line of toys. AMZN
Amazon.com - $134.03

- $133.45
I know not a Toy Maker..but they may benefit indirectly because parents which want the toys that are not made in China will go there to look for the small brands made in the UK or USA like Gutz or Madame Alexander or wooden toys. 31.01 BIL P/E 103.40 eps .73 One of Jim's little horseys.
