The National Hurricane Center has warned that the 2007 season will be more active than normal. Last week,William Gray, a top hurricane forecaster based at Colorado State University predicted a "very active" season this year with at least nine hurricanes -- five of them major hurricanes -- and a good chance that one major hurricane will hit the U.S. coast. The National Hurricane Center will issue its forecast for the 2007 season in late May but investors seem to be front running the forecast eveidenced by recent price action(2 out of these 3 made all-time highs today). These companies provide support services to offshore rigs that might get damaged from the path of a hurricane and need to be transported for repair.

Busy hurricane season = buy MANUFACTURERS (not retailers) of both gasoline generators and propane whole-house power systems. I live on an island in Florida; trust me!!!

CLHB was one that profited huge off 2005 hurricane season; they clean up all the big messes! Some more speculative plays would be NLST, HSOA, WEGI...bigger name URS for infastructure and AA and UFPI for aluminum and wood rebuilding. What about FRZ for all the ice needed???
