Bank Stock Moving Average Analysis, Week Of 1/16/2009

Description:

In my article, Tracking BAC Using Moving Averages, at Stockpickr Articles, I showed how to spot buy and sell points using the 200 day and 50 day simple moving averages.

Here, I look at activity in 10 bank stocks from July 14, 2009 to July 22, 2009. I used an hourly chart (a data point at the end of each hour), with a 15 period moving average.

Even in a downward trending market, there are still opportunities to capture short term moves.
