On the August 13, 2007 Mad Money show, we were told that more than 7 million "teaser" mortgages will likely be defaulted and investors should likely keep and eye out for the ripple effect and thus aim to protect portfolios from the "House Of Pain." Jim told us to "stay defensive" as more problems will come for banks, brokers and funds. Avoid companies like Thornburg Mortgage, Inc. (TMA), Washington Mutual, Inc. (WM), Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. (LEH), KB Home (KBH) and Beazer Homes USA, Inc. (BZH). Instead focus on these defensive plays.
