This year, the small-cap Aston Veredus Aggressive Growth fund (ticker: VERDX) is up 27.9%, compared with 6.1% for the Russell 2000, and the Aston Veredus Select Growth fund (AVSGX) is up about 27.5%, versus a 9.3% gain for the Russell 1000. Since its start nine years ago, the small-cap fund has gained 15.84% annually on average, while its five-year-old large-cap cousin has returned 18.1% a year."
