Barrons Roundtable: Bill Gross

Description:

Bill Gross is one of the world's largest mutual fund managers, focusing mostly on bonds. Called "the nation's most prominent bond investor" by the New York Times, he manages Pacific Investment Management (PIMCO) Total Return bond fund.

He has often been referred to as "the Warren Buffett of the bond world". Gross has had an average gain of around 8.3% for the past ten years.

In Barron's Roundtable from 1-22-07, he gave us his new picks and commenented:

"My selections are predicated to a considerable extent upon the premise that the Federal Reserve will be lowering interest rates by midyear, and that interest rates on the longer end of the Treasury yield curve will be a function of asset allocations by relatively price-insensitive foreign central banks and reserve accumulators."
