I have no idea if this is true or not, but if so this never would had happened
if he had read Real Money and listened to Jim before he started investing. -

Anyone watching sqawk on the street? I love how Jim just called that guest out
as Erin was introducing him. "He's been so wrong". We need more people on tv
like that. -

What should we make of the CEO leaving Lundin (LMC)? Is this a time to dump it?
Or is the new guy good? It was up today so I'm guessing the market liked the
move? -

New Question: Jim and pickers,
I really like Cramer's segment on bargain dividend stocks last night. I'm
starting my homework on dow and have two questions:
1. How big is their agriculture sciences business? Can this be considered an ag
play at all?
2. Analyst estimates for eps are lower for 2008 then 2007. This always throws up
a red flag for me. Should this be of much concern?
Thanks. -

A: i don't think MBIA has hit zero yet, and C is always good for a point or two. CFC. But
I'd play the homebuilders since their bad news and loan defaults won't see the
"sterile sunlight" for weeks to months. jj more - Post your own answer
- Q:
After LMC's last quarter Jim recommended holding until we see another quarter.
With it down significantly to $9.12 today is it still a hold? Or an opportunity
to back up the truck, or just get out all together? -

A: He regards LMC as a speculative play. Most of the mining/mineral stocks are down today
because of a manufacturing number out of China that showed slowing (I believe). I think
there are better mining companies out there, LMC has been a laggard especially when
compared to the likes of FCX or RIO more - Post your own answer
- Q:
Is anyone buying any speculative stocks after today's selloff? I have a lot of
cash and defensive names and not much spec. I'm having trouble finding any I
like here. -

New Question: After Friday's show on the ag bull market, what does everyone think
of The Anderson (ANDE) as a small cap play on this? Or is it just an ethanol
spec as was previously mentioned on mm? -

- Q:
Jim,
You mentioned in passing in the video on $100 oil that you felt the US should
have attacked Iran, not Iraq, and that a surgical strike would be reasonable.
Would you care to elaborate on this?
Also, you say your show is about making money, not politics, so would you
support a war that would be profitable irregardless of it's effects on, say, the
civilian population? -

A: Jim is not about supporting or advocating. He simply said that he thought it was likely
that the strike would happen eventually and it would therefore affect oil prices. Not
exactly Nostradamus-type stuff. If we debated the moral implications of every stock there
would not be enough time in the day or megabytes on the Stockpickr server. So I'll be
less diplomatic about it than Nymph; take your Flower Power and your bong elsewhere unless
you want to talk stocks.
And "irregardless" is not a word. more - Post your own answer
