Thoughts on yesterday's wildness: Does anyone else think that some large traders
were experimenting to see how drastically they could manipulate the markets? I
could visualize one trader saying to another "I'm going to drive down
Accenture's stock, buy it when it's under $1" -

A: I see smallish Nat Gas names like MHR are still going crazy.

Citigroup and the financials have some momentum this week. A near term option
idea: C's March $4 call is only 4 cents away from being in the money for next
Friday's expiration on the 19th. It is selling for 9 cents ($9) for one
contract. I'm guessing that it will at least double when it winds up in the
money. -

A: Hi OptionGuy, welcome to StockPickr. I've been playing with Options for the last two
months and I have some hard lessons that I'd like to share. Have you worked out the
numbers on this trade? The admin fee charged by the Options clearing house is 75 cents
per contract. If you buy and then sell one contract, that's $1.5. I find that with
Options that are low in premium tend not to make you much money after you subtract
commissions and fees. Let me see your numbers and I can comment further. more - Post your own answer

A: Good observations, but what do you think about copper? I know I asked last week, but I'm
wondering if anyone feels anything has changed.
Worth noting: There was unusual option activity in calls for both GLD and FCX today.
Check it out in the "Stocks with unusual options activity" portfolio in Today's
List of Portfolios above.

A: Impose a "tariff" on US companies that bring in products from their overseas
facilities. I want my Nikes made in the USA. When companies like Nike opened facilities
overseas for cheaper labor, the prices of their shoes didn't go down. more - Post your own answer
